What this is

An open-source spy-satellite simulator that runs in your browser — except every feed is real public data. Nothing is hacked, leaked, or scraped from behind a login. Aircraft come from open ADS-B receivers. Satellites come from CelesTrak's public catalog. Earthquakes come from the USGS.

The project's contribution is putting all thirteen feeds on one photorealistic globe at the same time.

The ten layers that need no API key

Ships, fires and real traffic need free-tier keys. The globe itself needs one Google Map Tiles key — 1,000 sessions free per month.

The two things that break most installs

1. Node.js v25 does not work. You need 24.14.x or 26.x. Check with node -v before anything else.
2. A grey globe means your Map Tiles key is missing — or the API isn't enabled in Google Cloud.

The project refuses, by design, to search for named people, run facial recognition, or track individuals. "People are not a query type here."
