Nscale prepares for public listing alongside new financing talks

Nscale, a British artificial intelligence infrastructure provider founded two years ago, is reportedly in discussions to raise $3.5 billion in pre-IPO financing. The company has indicated it could move toward a public listing as early as later this month.

Financing Structure

According to reports, the capital-raising effort is split into two primary components. Nscale is looking to sell $1.5 billion in convertible notes to a group of investors. Simultaneously, the firm is seeking an additional $2 billion in financing directly from Nvidia.

This follows previous financial backing from Nvidia, which participated in Nscale's $1.1 billion Series B funding round in March. That round was led by investment fund Aker and marked a significant milestone for European tech financing. Earlier, in December 2024, the company secured $155 million in its Series A round.

Market Position

Demand for specialized hardware has surged during the current expansion of artificial intelligence applications, turning compute capacity into a primary competitive resource. Nscale recently secured a substantial agreement with Anthropic valued at approximately $45 billion.

Projected Growth

Recent reports indicate that Nscale has shared revenue projections with prospective investors reaching approximately $103 billion. Industry observers note that this figure represents projected future earnings based on signed customer leases rather than current realized sales.

As the infrastructure sector continues to evolve, the planned public debut and ongoing capital negotiations will provide further insight into the financial scale required to support next-generation artificial intelligence workloads.
