Data center developer Crusoe has raised a new three billion dollar round of funding, valuing the company at thirty billion dollars.
The financing is co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Mubadala Capital, the asset management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund. This fresh capital arrives just ten months after the company secured a 1.38 billion dollar round at a ten billion dollar valuation last October.
Infrastructure and Partnerships
Crusoe counts prominent technology companies such as Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI among its clients. The firm recently signed a massive 13 billion dollar, five-year cloud contract to supply quantitative trading firm Jane Street with graphics processing units and essential artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Launched in 2018 as a cryptocurrency mining operation powered by flared natural gas, Crusoe has since successfully pivoted into a major AI infrastructure and cloud provider. The company is best known for developing hyperscale data center campuses for clients including Oracle and OpenAI.
Future Outlook
Demand for specialized computing resources remains high across the technology sector, prompting rapid scaling among infrastructure providers. To support this growth trajectory, Crusoe recently met with prominent investment bankers, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, to discuss a potential near-term initial public offering.
The substantial capital injection reflects the ongoing capital intensity required to build and maintain the hardware foundations necessary for modern artificial intelligence workloads.
